Minyoung Shin is an associate with Umberg Zipser LLP where she focuses her practice on trademark and patent prosecutions across various technology industries including pharmaceutical science, nutraceutical chemistry, biomedical devices, and chemical engineering. Minyoung’s well-rounded educational and professional background serves clients well in her role on the Umberg Zipser team. Her vast experience in molecular biology and neuroscience provides her with unique insight into the IP challenges faced by those in the scientific industries, and allow her to provide strategic solutions to client’s IP issues. Minyoung also provides valuable support for IP enforcement, and transaction issues including legal research and the drafting of various agreements.
In her free time, Minyoung enjoys the outdoors. She takes pleasure in traveling, hiking, skiing and is an avid baseball fan. As a native of South Korea, Minyoung is fluent in Korean.
Prior to joining the firm, Minyoung was an associate attorney at Fish & Tsang, LLP. Prior to law school, she was a research associate at Salk Institute and Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
